New product THz source for academic customers

Thelioz 1.0

Thelioz 1.0 is a continuously tunable, room-temperature CW terahertz source covering 2–15 THz. One table-top instrument replaces what used to take a gas laser, a QCL and a photomixer together, including the 7–15 THz window previously reserved for synchrotrons. Built for research groups in broadband spectroscopy and device characterization: no cryostat, no laser gas.

Use cases

One research source.
Many experiments.

2D-material spectroscopy

Photocurrent and absorption spectroscopy of 2D materials and heterostructures. Tune continuously across low-energy resonances from 2 to 15 THz.

THz detector characterization

Map the responsivity and spectral response of THz detectors across the whole band with a single source, instead of stitching several together.

High-resolution gas spectroscopy

Resolve individual absorption lines of gases with a narrow-linewidth CW source, including the 7–15 THz window that other table-top sources do not reach.
